linear actuator:

Electric: easy to control, weakest

Hydraulic: powerful, expensive

Pneumatic: difficult to control, power, clean(working fluid is air), cheap

 

Controlling Valves:

Valves control flow of air into the chambers and hence the position of pistion

 

Maximum Coverage placement problem

You have good points here. I also have a few ideas about ISANDS but The Divided band I first have to check them and after that, I will let you know. Our experience does vary, and I'm taking heed of the fact that it does.

The project goal of creating a system to allow for longer autonomy of class 1 unmanned helicopters is an exciting one. To bring this goal to fruition, two types of actuators are being considered: electric, which is easy to control but weakest, and hydraulic, which is powerful but expensive. Pneumatic is also being considered, as it is difficult engagement rings to control and requires power, but its working fluid is air which makes it cheaper. To control the flow of air into the chambers and position of the piston, controlling valves are being used. To reach the maximum coverage, a genetic algorithm will be utilized. This project is sure to be a success and will be a great advancement for class 1 unmanned helicopters!
