The project goal of creating a system to allow for longer autonomy of class 1 unmanned helicopters is an exciting one. To bring this goal to fruition, two types of actuators are being considered: electric, which is easy to control but weakest, and hydraulic, which is powerful but expensive. Pneumatic is also being considered, as it is difficult engagement rings to control and requires power, but its working fluid is air which makes it cheaper.
